Hi Momma!Simon has decided that sticking his tongue out is his new favorite thing and he's been doing it ALL DAY LONG!! He cracks me up!
WooHoo!! He really walked this time, and I caught it on video!! I only had my cell phone with me so the quality is terrible, but I got it!!! I'm so proud of my baby boy!!!
Simon took his first steps just minutes ago!! Only two, but he's on his way!!! I'll get video as soon as I can and post it! Go, baby, go!!!
The word is in, and that word is.......Mama!!! Yes, he finally said it today, Wednesday, Oct. 14th- looking right at me and grinning! He's been close before, and there were times I thought I heard it, but this time there was NO question. No better feeling in the world!
I just can't believe Simon will turn 1 on Saturday. This year has gone by so fast! He has been such an amazing blessing to our family. I really can't imagine life without him, and I love that I have been here to share every moment with him (for that I am forever grateful to my sweet, wonderful husband for working so hard so that I can care for our son).
Simon has brightened each minute of every day since he came into the world. Hannah and Sarah have discovered that they really ROCK at being big sisters, and Simon worships the ground they walk on. Dave turns into a soft, goofy puddle when his son greets him at the door each day - its the sweetest thing in the world to see. He is cruising the furniture now, but not quite ready to take those first real steps, though I'm sure they're coming soon. "Ba ba" is his word for just about everything, but occasionally says "Uh-oh". He does holler "Ma, ma, ma" when calling me from the crib!
I think I've captured on film just about every look, every smile, every step, and every laugh. I wanted to share them with you.
Simon has started playing the "Uh, Oh" game - dropping things on purpose and then looking at me and smiling. So the fun begins....
Ooh, its all happening so fast! Simon is not only crawling all over the place, he's now pulling himself up to a standing position! He also said his second word yesterday..."Uh Oh!". Of course, when I called Dave to tell him, I couldn't get Simon to say it again!! LOL!
I was so excited to hear Simon's first word today!! "Ba Ba", which translated, means "Mamma, I'd like my bottle now. Could you put it in that warming thingy?" Well, that's what I heard anyway...
He's growing SOOO fast!!
In the middle of 100 degree weather, we had a surprise shower - and we took advantage of it!
With the encouragement of his sisters, Simon took one giant step (er, crawl) towards walking yesterday!
Took these this morning, just after he managed to get himself from his belly to sitting - all on his own! He's such a big boy!
